Here's the Spider modular system, created by Andrea Tosetto for Lodes.

It's a fabulous lighting design for those of us who have large family rooms, or ceilings which are awkwardly-shaped. You can position your pendants where you like, rather than have your electrical feed dictate where they can hang.

This is the Spider fourteen-light composition, with fourteen suspended spotlights, each of which is draped from a single large canopy across the room. The light sources within the metal globes can be adjusted through 360 degrees horizontally, and through 90 degrees vertically.

Spider comes in four great metal finishes - gold, chrome, rose gold, and white. The price quoted here is for gold.
